Yoga Instructors

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking passionate and dedicated Yoga Instructors. If you have a love for yoga and enjoy helping others improve their physical and mental well-being, we want to hear from you! Candidates are required to have a minimum of 500 hours of teacher training. Weekend and weekday evening classes available. Competitive class payment structure.

DUTIES

  • Lead yoga classes for participants of varying skill levels.

  • Provide guidance on proper yoga techniques.

  • Offer modifications to accommodate different abilities; instructors are expected to understand and offer modifications for all body types/age etc.

  • Educate participants on the benefits of yoga practice.

  • Ensure a safe and supportive environment during classes.

  • Ensure proper use of any equipment when required.

  • Prepares and organizes class equipment/supplies; advises Yoga Public Director when items require replacement.

  • All equipment must be cleaned up and put away. Classroom must be left tidy and ready for next class/instructor.

  • Have music prepared for classes/sequences that require it (i.e. Yin).

  • Learn students names and needs (modifications/injuries, etc.).

  • Teach appropriate sequences for indicated class/time slot.

  • A positive attitude to yoga, students and studio is a must.

  • Class time/duration must be taught skillfully. Students’ time/studio time must be respected.

  • Assist in checking-in students in Mindbody before class; Front desk reception duties are required.

  • All instructors are expected to contribute. when appropriate. to studio cleanliness:

  • water stations must be full for students at all times

  • towels stations must be stocked and tidy at all times; instructors may need to roll mats and or towels at times

  • if change rooms are messy/wet, instructors are expected to contribute to ensure a clean and safe environment

  • a willingness to be of assistance when asked by studio director or front desk staff

  • report to studio director or front desk staff before leaving studio

Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of 500 hours of teacher training required.

  • Flexibility with schedule; instructor availability will be critical in determining which class(s) can be assigned to instructors.

  • Comfortable teaching in warm/hot studio spaces.

  • Strong time management skills to effectively plan classes.

  • Excellent communication skills to interact with participants.

  • Leadership qualities to inspire and motivate students.

  • First Aid, CPR/AED Certification is an asset.

Registered Massage Therapist

JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for passionate and dedicated Registered Massage Therapists to join our team at Yoga Public. We provide all equipment, products, linens, bookings, and marketing support. We offer a competitive revenue share model, negotiable based on experience, qualifications, and availability.

DUTIES

  • Greet and guide clients to and from treatment rooms.

  • Conduct client assessments before starting treatments, ensuring any concerns or preferences are addressed throughout the session.

  • Perform massage treatments in a professional, comfortable setting.

  • Offer recommendations on Yoga Public’s wellness offerings to complement massage treatments and enhance client well-being.

  • Provide guidance on postural improvements, stretches, relaxation techniques, and rehabilitative exercises.

  • Process payments and schedule appointments using our POS and booking systems.

  • Maintain accurate records of client treatments and preferences in compliance with the Privacy Act.

  • Ensure treatment rooms are cleaned and restocked after each session.

  • Assist with other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must hold current Registered Massage Therapy certification recognized in Manitoba (Massage Therapy Association of Manitoba).

  • Certified in First Aid, CPR, and AED.

  • Flexible availability, mainly for shifts between 11 AM and 9 PM, including some weekends.
